Orange rim on Coraldiva's Blue Magic?

I got my blue magic frag from coraldiva on here a while back. I know it changes color from pink,blue,green depending on lighting. I had about an 8 eye colony and then it started recceding,so I cut an eye off to save myself a piece of it. Well the colony didnt die and I now have a frag. What is weird is this frag appears to be developing an orange rim while the colony has a light blueish rim.

I was wondering if anyone else has had this happen to their Blue Magic.

Btw the eyes on this thing are INSANE, SO BRIGHT!

O yea I forgot to mention that, it still has the rim under daylights but it is more vivid under all blue leds..

Since the orange doesn't go all around the rim and only in certain spots of about the same size. I would have to agree with fsu. I have been under the impression that rings should go all the way around a chalice and not really speckled. Gorgeous chalice either way.

That would be very cool if it did have an orange rim. I guess it is aptly named.. Blue Magic. But it probably is eyes coming in, which is still super sweet.

Either way you are in a win-win situation. More eyes means faster growth. Orange rim means sweet morph. Keep us updated.

Coraldiva-My frag had a pink rim under t5s but when I moved it to my led only tank,it developed a baby blue rim,you can see pics of it in my fs thread. Also the frag I already had cut that I want to grow into another colony,has a blue rim. This coral really is magical! lol

I have this chalice too and it is a really strange chalice. Not into chalices much these days, but I kept this one.

Yea it is. It ended up being the knobs coraldiva was talking about,except mine are an orange morph. This is the most morphing chalice ive ever owned, and I like it!
