OrionN's 320 Reboot

Is there a reason you are testing which they prefer? I have this weird hangup with feeding non-terrestrial food to my fish such as lettuce or similar leafy types. I keep sea grapes, caulerpa lentillifera, in my refugium and feed that from time to time. We can't keep that anymore in California so I am moving to gracilaria parvispora which is red. There is also a similar yellow so seeing which one I can grow fast enough to feed my tangs.

Hope your day is well.

I live in Corpus Christi, so the best price I can get for Nori is 20c a sheet. It is getting expensive since my tank eat about 3 sheet a day. I think a variety fresh vegetable and is likely healthier then dry, even if it is terrestrial. Plus if they like these vegetables, it will be so much cheaper to keep them well fed.
I also grow algae but none of them grow quick enough to keep my tank well fed.

Quick pict in the middle of my tank.

Pseudojuloides splendens. The Splendid Pencil Wrasse
I got this pair of wrasse today from Austin. Beautiful pair, eating well and fat at the LFS. So I got them. Wish me luck. First time I tried my hand at Pencil Wrasse

I ended my terrestrial feeding. The tangs will eat but not enthusiastically. My Naso does not like it and always has pinched stomach. However, the most important reason is the tangs are unlikely able to fully digest the terrestrial plant leaves. As tender as these leaves are plus microwaves for 3-4 mins, the tangs eat and poop out moon shaped bits of leave with minimal evidence of digestion. Seeing these, i think the cell wall of the terrestrial plants are just too much for the digestive system of tangs. Keep on feeding them with terrestrial plants will likely result in malnutrition for the tangs even if they are stuff full everyday.

I did a 3 for 1 trade for a Regal angel from my friend @alton yesterday. Two Flames and a CBB for a 3-inch WC Yellow chest Regal Angle that Alton had for several years. I got him into the tank as the light was turning out so I put a low light the tank for about 15 mins so he can settle in. He did fine. This AM, as a welcome gesture somebody help him spread his dorsal fin a little wider. Other than that he is doing well. I was not taken any chances so I put the large mirror to the front of the tank for a few days to help him settle in.
Two quick pictures, better pictures later.
That picture of the two is wrong somehow. The misbar is quite a bit smaller than the new Regal, 2- inch vs. 3-inch. I have to think about it to see why in that picture the misbar looks larger than it should be. So far I am at a loss to explain why. That misbar looks like a blue chest there which it is not. ??? ???

I took the mirror down, not needed. The Regal angel swimming all over the tank and is not bother by any fish. So far the two Regal Angels tolerated each other. I do hope they will pair up. My tank is essentially full. I may add a few Fairys and Flashers. I am looking for a female CBB and a small China Wrasse. But that is all. No more fish for me.

The king of Aiptasia is no more. this is the same rock 1 year ago and today. I add my CBB to the tank. I added a pair but somehow my smaller female did not make it. She was fine then disappeared one night. The male labored away this last year. I think the tank will be Aiptasia free in a few more months

Everything, pellets, flakes, frozen and nori. Just enough food for them. Most of my fishes have full stomach all the time.

I feed the same after I get home from work. Pellets, nori and frozen. Their bellies are full and fat. I dont see growth like that. Maybe need to remove some rock to give room. 210 gal tank
