orphek vs ecotec

Hey gang I’m looking for opinions for these two lights for a new 250G. Originally was going to get xr30s gen 6 but been seeing better reviews on the Orpheks. Thanks!

Neither. I would go Reefi or Quanta (or both).

Out of those two, Radions. For 1/3 the cost you can have Nicrew instead

Is there a reason you have it narrowed down to just those two with so many other options available?

I’ve run both. Radions much better app/user friendliness, smaller profile, and better light visuals IMO, Orphek give you more of a blanket light and definitely cheaper to get full coverage on a big tank.

I’ve had Radions and Orphek. Orphek for the win much Easier to work with, better spread and higher quality leds

I have two tanks- one with radion and the other Orphek atlantik
Radion preset AB is awesome for coral colors while the Orphek you have to come up with your own schedule and ratios.
Orpheks are stronger and give a better light spread (do to the size of the unit) while being able to be mounted higher and a lot less light spill. I can sit on the couch next to the tank and look at the light mounted 14” above the tank and it does not hurt my eyes. While the radion I bought a shade for and it still spills everywhere.
