Padding needed under rimless tank?

I have a 60 gallon rimless cube sitting on a metal stand (bottom is open) I am planning on moving in the summer wondering if I should maybe put foam or a mat underneath? If so is there anything that isn't ugly pink foam?

I use styrofoam under my tanks. Some people use yoga mats cut to size too.
I would definitely add some sort of padding underneath. You don't want a hard jolt to the floor to vibrate up and crack the tank!

I have never used padding and have never had a problem. I don't think padding is necessary for your size tank on a frame. As long as the tank bottom has a frame I don't see the advantage.

I put a sheet of foam insulation (the pink stuff) under my rimless. I hadn't in the past as all my tanks had frames on them. Seeing as the rimless tanks don't, I put the foam under as a precaution. Works great

I don't own one but I see an advantage to help prevent vibrations into the tank.

I've seen people use yoga mats , it doesn't look bad and hides well

I don't have a frame on the bottom of my tank and being a metal stand the whole bottom is opened up. I like the yoga mat idea, would this be good enough to help with the vibrations?

Just cut a piece of plywood. Paint it to match stand. Secure with screws counter sunk. Cut out for plumbing. There you go solid and smooth with equal support.

Don't do anything without asking the manufacturer. A call or email is all you need and go with what they say. Miracles told me to go with minimum of 1/2" insulation foam for my 120, and I did it!

Just to clarify it's to prevent vibration right? Not to level something out because my tank is perfectly level.

The purpose of a pad is to prevent imperfections from creating a point load on the glass, which can be a huge stress load and crack your tank.

Here is what happens when you don't use a pad under a rimless tank. I was reef sitting for a club member when this happened. 80 gallons of water on the floor.
