Paint removal from acrylic

anybody have experience in removing spray paint from an acrylic tank? I'm thinking of a magic sponge and elbow grease... But I don't have alot of grease around the house and was hoping someone may have a better more effective way.

What size is your tank? I have had extremely good luck removing paint from many plastics using a product called "Super Clean". It is in a purple bottle and you can get it at Walmart and most auto supply stores. You just have to soak your item in it for an hour or two and the pain should just slide right off. I have not used this on acrylic so you may want to use a test piece first.

Never seen that before I'll have to look into it, if it's safe I could probably lay rags over it with the solution maybe to get it worked in... It is a 180g and the previous owner painted the back blue and I don't care for it

And since i found this in the "Pest ID" section, those are called children. They are not too harmful, but you may want to remove them from your tank...

Indeed it did clean up pretty well thank you, still have some coraline to clean off some minor scratches on the front but I think the water will hide those... I still need to get the blue paint off the back though

I've not been able to find out if it's safe on acrylic... It will eat CA glue found on models, bit scary. I emailed the company today to see if it's safe, I'll let you know what they say...
