I ran Saxby for about 6 months. Started right when I got the lights. If you use that drop your green and red Chanel because it’s very high to begin with. I took those to zero and changed my white to 15 peak and 10 on the jumps. Like I said that’s cause I like the blues more than the white not something you have to do but if you are not liking the Saxby stock start changing what you want less of. If I could figure out how I could send you mine to try but for the life of I don’t know how to send someone settings. It took me forever to figure out how to get to Dropbox and onto the app.

Thank you no worries, I will slow down the acclimation to help the Duncans, Torch and Candys.

I can download Saxby’s settings from the AI site. I can tell you for sharing your settings you just need to go to the share box/arrow in the right up corner when you are in the “Control” are in the AI app, then you select the app to be used to share (iMessage, Whatsapp, etc) and done.

These are some top view pics. Still fighting nitrates and phosphates, I hope to install the new skimmer in a month or so.

NO3 in 20 ppm, PO4 in 1 ppm and the reef is blooming, no algae and no side effects... maybe I am doing it right while thinking it is wrong lol.
Lol!!
I don't even test for nitrates anymore. As long as their not bottomed out it's all good.

Are you still testing the lighting profile?
If so, have your lps adjusted?

Yes, I am still testing the profile all LPS adjusted properly except my duncans, their polyps are only 20% open. The hammers, candys, zoas, torch, frogspawn, etc. are doing just fine. I will give them another couple of weeks to get acclimate.

Your new fish look awesome.

Here is a picture of my mandarin wondering through the right side of the tank, he is really a beautiful fish.

This week I will be in UK and Romania, and on the way I will pull the trigger on the Nyos 160 skimmer, enough of that Soviet era C-Skim!

Great picture Pancho!

You will wonder why you didn’t get the NYOS earlier when you take the C Skim out. You will be amazed at the space it creates and also the silence

I know! the C-Skim is so noisy now that I can hear it from my bedroom upstairs!

The experiment with the lights to reach the AB+ profile is officially ended. My duncans never adapted to it even if I went super slow (3% light increases per week). So I am back with my old profile and perhaps down the road I will give a shot to Saxby’s profile.

I upgraded my sump light to help the chaeto to grow, I expect this will help to keep reducing the nutrients in my tank. Also the Nyos Quantum 160 skimmer is installed and running, finally everything is in silence....

Look great, Pancho

How's your NYOS skimmer doing?

Hello my friend, sorry for taking so long to replay, workload and traveling has been horrible in the recent months.

My NYOS is working as a charm, I cannot complain, doing its job and very quiet !!!
