PAR Numbers for Rainbow Monti?

Dana, I mistakenly placed a frag of rainbow montipora on the top of a rock in my old tank under 250W DE MH's. It was getting a lot of PAR and quickly grew over everything it came in contact with. I eventually had to remove it with bone cutters. Mine liked high PAR. I know, not much help, just my experience. I left it out of the new tank even though it is one of the most beautiful montiporas I have seen. JP

Thank you! It's a pretty piece when colored up, perhaps it'll recover in time.

From my experience with that particular Monti the polyp color it correlates to the age of that section typically with new growth being green tracking and plating growth being orange/yellow, and the most mature sections being red though it will sometimes act like a red planet Acro and base out when trying to do a big growth spurt physically taking on one of the more significant colorations only at least that's been my experience, glad its growing I bet it will come around soon enough, ever dose aminos?

Thanks! Yes, I make a witch's brew to feed the corals. Amino acids, Selcon, yeast, two commercially available coral foods, vitamins, phytoplankton, etc.
