So i setup my first tank for a peacock couple months ago. was expecting it to be a bigger size but ended up with a 2 inch peacock. I setup a 2inch pvc pipe when i setup the tank awhile back but it doesnt seem to like it at all.

he made a burrow under this island but it collapsed, good thing it made it out. Now it doesnt seem like it knows where to go. Was wondering if you guys had any ideas

I haven't had that issue with a mantis shrimp, but I do have a diamond goby who's little cave home accidentally got covered up accidentally when performing a water change. He seems all confused now and not know where to go either. Maybe just give him a little more time to explore and get used to the home, and just observe and see what happens.

How big is the pvc diameter? If it’s too bi sometimes they try to find a smaller diameter hole. I also had a very small Peacock a few years ago and he would not use the PVC until after he grew a bit. He’ll eventually adapt.
