is a pellet reactor better than a fuge for removal of nutrients in well stocked reef tank?
how long does a pellet reactor take to start working on new setup? would you run a rowaphos reactor also till pellets start to work"

properly sized and maintained biopellet reactor will be more efficient at removing nitrates than a refugium. Bacteria that grows in a reactor is much faster at nutrient uptake than algae. It won’t have as much impact on phosphates though so you will likely have to run GFO. It takes a few weeks for the bacteria to colonize.

do you run the pellet reactor through new tank cycle ? and have read that starting pellet reactor on new setups with low nutrients can course dino outbreak

No, you should give it some time. You don’t want to strip the nutrients initially. I wouldn’t start messing with nutrients until you test stable readings of nitrate and phosphate.
