It has just finished cycling and I am soon to add a fish in About a week.

20 gallon innovative marine specs

Light: Kessil a-360
Water movement: 2 530 gph power heads with stock return pump.
Mechanical filter: pinkie in custom caddy
Biological filtration: rocks and sand 20 lbs each, chaeto lit by the IM chaetomax, and reef glass nano PS, and some matrix in the custom caddy basket.

I plan to add a six line wrasse, a clownfish, an orchid dottyback and one more fish of some sort I don’t quite know yet so some ideas would be great! It will be a lps dominated.

This is my first thread on keeping a tank so any tips to make it better would also be very helpful !

Looks really good, but then I'm a sucker for a peninsula. The main tip for your build thread is to keep it updated, which I am personally terrible at. It's always fun to go back and look at your own progress and observe the changes along the way.

Looking forward to watching this one mature.

I have just added my first fish! It is a onyx percula clownfish. He is very happy and has been in for about 2 days. He is doing very good and I can see him picking at pods and eating his food already.

The skimmer is doing very well it is going to need a cleaning it is producing a pretty wet skim so I am going to get it dryer if I can.

My chaeto has all bleached out from the chaetomax refugium light...[emoji36] I started with too little and I think it was to small so it bleached out so I will get some more soon.

I added some copepods at the very beginning and I look around the tank now and there are everywhere! There are so many and I can see my clown pick at them throughout the day (it’s very cool to watch!)

The tank is doing very good overall but any tips would be great!

Congrats on the first fish....things are looking good. As for tips, slow and steady wins this race and keep your hands out of the tank.

I have some sad news... the fish decided the carpet was were he wanted to be... my clownfish was a jumper, I thought that clownfish didn’t jump so I was gonna get a lid on it next week when I added my other fish. But I was stupid and didn’t put it on earlier with him...[emoji24][emoji36]
