Thanks Tim and Happy New Year to you as well :) The system continues to mature, corals looking great, growth starting to take off! I am now having to add buffer, as the corals are consuming more than the crushed coral is releasing. I have seen my alk drop as low as 6.7dkh. Actually prefer it around there to 7.0dkh. I am getting close to running out of space, at least based on future colony size, so after tenuis magnetic rock is full, I will probably hold off on coral purchases for awhile. Maybe a few nicer montis, or deepwater species later :)
Cheers

Thanks Bill, I am happy to see you look in on the journal, it's been a ride :) I would say most on the list are doing well, a couple of acros are stubborn, and some are not worthy of attention right now. I have perhaps met my limit for this tank, time to sit back and enjoy the show :)
Cheers

Agree. That’s one serious sps list. Can’t wait to see it and watch them grow and become available frags. Lol

Lol,
I hope to be fragging some by summer time this year, will have to do so as some are large frags, and taking off. Once they lay their base and get to 4" or so, I may have to trim to keep them all relative to size.

Hey Tim,
Believe it or not, about 1/2 of these were free. That's what started this whole fiasco, lol ;) I have only one shroom left, it's in the fuge, no more shroom tank, the sell off funded the last few rounds of additions, mostly "high end" and most tenuis or milli's. I am stoked to recover acid trip, and it will be neat to show differences between ASD Rainbow, Acid Trip, Solar Flare, and Event Horizon, all have similar colors. Yes I like milli's that much :)
Cheers and thanks for following along!

Today I would like to focus on algae ;)
Do I have it, YES! I have hair, and bubble algae, am I concerned, heck no! That said, hair algae is nearly broken in DT, bubble a different story, it can thrive in low nutrients, but, I know that if I stay the course, not today, tomorrow, or next, that one day, my corals and mangroves will ultimately win. It just takes time. Algae needs po4, but so do acros. Removing via treatments for algae may be more detrimental than algae itself. My hair algae is almost completely gone, a few spots, but not increasing, more like being outcompeted by corals and bubble. Sometimes, we just have to be patient, and not try to search for the holy grail of numbers, and let our systems work :)

Ah yes. Perry's Phoenix. Another royalty payment my way. Start fragging that up; I need to replace my deceased Event Horizon that failed to appreciate a KCl dip for some aefw that made it through.

All looking great Perry!
