MY PH is 7.6
Alkalinity is 10.3
Calcium is 394

I want to try Kalkwassar but am concerned I will raise alkalinity and calcium too much. I did CO2 test in house and it was good. My system is 260 gallons all together. Thanks for your opinions.

Disregard - Misread thread.

Have you considered using baking soda or soda ash? I bake baking soda at 375°F for about an hour to convert it into soda ash, then dose using a chemistry calculator. It’s a lot cheaper that way.

Soda ash will raise alkalinity. I'd try hooking your skimmer up to outside air first. Increase surface agitation and maybe a CO2 scrubber. Another way to increase pH is a algea scrubber. With your alk at 10 kalk will raise it even more.

I updated my reply after realizing I misread the original post - I don't see an option to delete the reply. :(

Perhaps you can do water change with salt mix that has a low alkalinity, like Tropic Marin Pro Reef.
That would help address the alkalinity increasing concern when adding Kalkwasser. Also using CO2 Scrubber would help in bringing up pH too.
