Been reefing for about 11 months and I have recently started seeing problems with my tank and even more recent my fish are beginning to suffer. I have completed an icp test and all limits are within normal range. Can anyone help identify what’s going on with the Caribbean blue tang. So far both clowns, a scooter blenny, a bristle tooth tang and a wrasse have died. Thinking marine velvet and have recently treated with Rally Pro but haven’t seen any improvement.

Looks like velvet to me.

I think you only have a short time to treat this before this one also dies.

A 5min freshwater dip will relieve the fish somewhat, but you need to get this one into a hospital tank already dosed up to 2.0 to 2.5 ppm CopperSafe...

If you use cupramine copper, you'll need to look up the disagree required...i don't use that copper.

Although visual disease diagnosis can sometimes be difficult, this looks very much like a classic moderate/severe case of ich, Cryptocaryon. Once fish loss has already occurred, it is VERY difficult to resolve the issue in time to stop additional losses. I'm sorry, but the only course of action that I can see is to move all of the fish to a treatment tank and begin an immediate copper treatment. The trouble is that copper can take up to three days to start to work, and since losses have already happened, the remaining fish may not have that long. Rally Pro will probably not work at this point....
