Plumbing !

Check the glue you used for the recommended time, which is typically 24 hours. However, personally I've waited an hour and have not had any problems.

This is MY EXPERIENCE only - and if you do this and it kills something I'm sorry......

I've glued at least 15 joints, waited less than 15 minutes after putting the last one together - and started up pumps - all while fish, anemones, coral etc are in the tanks.

I use normal PVC glue readily available at Home Depot - both clear & purple (primer) - normal & medium drying.

No ill affects to any animals - the tank will go cloudy for a day - then clear up just fine. Honestly though I think the cloudiness was caused by the PVC pipes rather than the glue - I'm a knucklehead and didn't even rinse out the pipes. And I glued in probably 30+ feet of drains. Again - all within a short period of time while water and animals were in the tanks.
