Hey, does anyone know if it’s possible to purchase the “RS” series of lights from popbloom? I can only find the RL versions.
looking for the best bang for buck lighting for a 20 high - 24L 12W 16H

The tank is going to be an anemone tank with some lps on the sand bed; rocks mainly for the BTA

Ah, thanks. I was under the impression that those weren’t the actual prices of the RS, since isn’t the RL newer and the one that has wifi, while the rs is the older vs with manual control only?

The analog one is historically more expensive than the "app" one.
Why? I assume the added "hardware".
DSunY (Popbloom) has always been a bit "different" and at times hard to explain. ;)

The app was pretty much designed by Tuya or some sort of cooperative effort. Probably pretty inexpensive overall. Most of the programming is just canned bits.. (my assumption)

Oh yea also their pricing can go all over the board anyways. Ebay, Amazon, Aliexpress.
What you pay can depend on the source. Some are "approved" stores, some not.
Also seems to matter on timing. There seems to be somewhat random sales though around the Chinese New Year may be one. Getting rid of overstock?
At that link.. 1 is $210 but 4 is $1100?

RS90 come with a controller, no wifi function, RL90 is wifi version.

there are 3 types of control way
1, remotor : called "Shannon" , now there is a S16 (reef , fish , plant) version which is 30Watt.
2, controller : called "Turning", RS90, T75, T50, all are stop update.
3, Phone/WiFi: called" Herzt", RL60,RL90,RL180 (compact design) , H75,H50 (no fan, best cover the tank)

with more and more functions (Lunar, slow accalamation, simulate the sunshine of different region), it is impossible to set only by remotor and controller. so phone/WiFi is the best.

The wifi module (internal electric boards) is Tuya. we develop the function. the advantage is Tuya deploys a number of local servers to ensure the appropriate speed when run rich functionality. This is one of the most beloved features of the PopBloom WiFi light.

The noise is really annoying considering several fans spinning on one tank, also it is impossible that each light has same fan-noise ( I mean, Sometimes you think the left side is the loudest, no matter how much you swap lights) :).
Almost every brand of light with a fan has been complained about noise (redsea, echotech ). As the testing, RL90 is better 11% (front) compare with Redsea 90. RL180 is 14% compare with Redsea 160 , same as echotech.
