This doesn't have to do with a Clownfish and anemone as I don't have an anemone in my reef. However, I do have two clownfish that are approximately 1 year old. My female clown began hosting in my torch coral about 3 months ago. In the beginning, she would swim all throughout the torch and act as I've seen a clown do in many youtube videos. Over the past 3-4 weeks, she will just lay in the torch. From a distance she looks dead. If I walk up to the tank, she will pop out and swim to the top expecting to be fed. She does actively eat every time I feed the tank. Is this normal behavior? This is my first experience with a clownfish trying to host.

Mine hosts in a leather coral at night it will curl up into it and it will kind of close itself to make the clown feel more secure. I have an extreme misbar black ocellaris

Yup, lying down and sleeping, yup, have not seen it in a torch before but the behavior is normal.
