Your humidity is to low... don't you know reefs are tropical.

I love your fish barn. Can't wait for the day when I can come see it.

Humidity is low due to exhaust vent and ranco humidity controller. My office is out here also, so got to think of the electronics lol.

Not much to update, but a little.

Got a hitchhiker octopus yesterday. Came on some KP rock. Got 2 of the 3 new lights for the macro tank. Going to just use 3 hydra 32hd for it, as it is only 14” deep and those should be plenty. It should also allow me to pull some better colors out of the corals in there. The grow lights I am using (about 5000-6500k) work great, but not much color visible. Don’t get me wrong, it is just like when I dive, but want just a tad of pop from all the Florida zoas lol. Just a little is fine.

Also, blackear wrasse is staying out all day now. Runs and hides if you get closer to tank, but doesn’t hide in sand. Only took about 2.5 months lol. excuse the crap pic of it. Had to zoom in from about 10’ away to even get the pic.

Yup. Came on a friends KP order and took me about an hour to coax it out of the rock. Funny thing is, the rock has been in tank for almost 6 months now and they just saw it the other day.

Going to setup a 14 biocube after I modify the crap out of it, for it. For now, it will sit in a critter keeper in my coral qt tank sump. It appears to be a Pygmy, so a 14 biocube should be plenty. Just a species only tank for it with some macro and Xenia should work great. Just got to octopus proof it lol.

Wow 6 months! I had a tiny dead one in my last box of gulf live rock. Very cool, glad you’re able to keep it. Did you ever watch the documentary My Octopus Teacher on Netflix? Incredible how smart they are.
