Plate corals have strong stings but to say it killed the fish idk that might be a long shot. RIP Fish...

I've seen them go after sexy shrimp a lot. They do 'stick' to things but it's not a super strong hold. (the shrimp freak out lol)
But if the fish is sleeping and kinda lands on it, I could see that happening. But it's not like an anemone..

I have a large, @4", short tentacle plate and is ate 2 of my gobies. They will catch and kill fish under the right circumstances! JME
