Hi all,

I currently have a rock with zoas and 2 ricordea that I decided to try out. Photos attached. I was curious what would happen if I let them all grow out? I was thinking I should move 1 of the 2 ricordeas but ultimately I want to separate all of the coral on the rock. Was just curious if the ricordea would take over the zoa or would they stop when they meet? Can ricordeas become a big nuisance?

I plan on removing this rock entirely and moving the zoas to a zoa island that peaks out of the sand on the right hand side. However, Im unsure of whether or not the zoas will spread across the Caribsea special grade sand. Anyone have experience with this sand and zoas?

In my experience the ricordea will sting the zoas if they touch the top bumpy sides. The zoas can grow around them thick enough to block out light though

Thank you. I’ll move them to their own designated island
