If it's both for $600 I'd say it too good to be true. If it's 600 each I would pass because I'm sick of dealing with mobius randomly changing date and time causing the lights to come in in the middle of the night. My xr15s are sitting on a shelf. Google mobius date time issue. This was my date and time on mobius yesterday when I noticed my gsp wasn't moving in the current like it should have been.

It was all for 600.
I did but it not paying attention to the stickers on the boxes.
Everything came in sealed boxes so it was never opened.
When I realized these are Gen3 I wasn't sure if my impulse buy was dumb as they are now at Gen6 .

Having read up on the Mobius app I think I'm good with a Reeflink module that I got for $50 .

I'm not familiar with Gen3 but my gen4 xr15s were decent lights and did perfectly fine when I ran a reeflink. I'd say you got a deal since you don't have to use mobius. My trouble started when I wanted to add a couple more mp40s and tech support advised they were mobius only. I had 8 vortechs and 3 xr15s and didn't want the hassle of having to use the reeflink for some and mobius for others so I upgraded everything to mobius :crying-face: I used ecosmart live with a Reeflink for several years and other than a failure to connect once in a great while it was fine.

EDIT : I'm not sure about Gen3 lights but everything I've read Siad the gen5 and 6 are weak compared to gen4s.

Brand new Gen3s sealed in the box as well as mounting brackets for that price is a fair deal.

There's absolutely nothing wrong with gen3. You just have to understand that they are older tech.

No, you can't get gen3s on mobius, nor would I think you'd want to.

When it comes to radions, gen4s are the coveted ones. It has nothing to do with spectrum or intensity, it's just that gen5s and 6s are plagued with software bugs that haven't been fixed.

I think we're on the verge of seeing a newer iteration of LED light from apertures ecotech that is going to be marketed as a fix for everything...

You can upgrade the later gen XR30's
I upgraded my Gen 3's to mobius I have them on my temperate tank and also for my coral trade show tank, where hi intensity is not a factor.
Serial no.
