As far as I know it’s a carnation coral. It’s usually double the size then shrinks to half of this. Had it for a good couple of months now.

Can't really make out all the detail from the picture, but are you sure this maybe isn't a Koji Wada Pink Nepthea?

Aussie Sinularia Finger Leather
In other words, they really don't know what it is. How many Aussie Sinularia finger leathers do you think there are? :)

I have one of those Koji Wada Pink Neptheas, but I am not having much luck getting it to grow (and it was tiny when I got it - smaller than the nub I gave you of that other leather). It is still about the same size as when I got it and I have had it 3-4 months. They are supposed to be fast growers and easy to keep. So far, I am getting nowhere with it.

Hmmmm might grow faster in my tank. I’ll cut you a frag when it grows out. Lol
That is entirely possible. Everything else is doing nicely here and there has been no deterioration in the Nepthea, it just isn't getting bigger. I think it has higher light requirements than most softies, similar to acros (according to the write up on Unique Corals). I am going to move it up to see if that helps. It is on the bottom at the moment.

Closer to the red tip than the koji the polyps are purple and are quite short. Though why is it called red tip when it’s purple?
What are you feeding?
Reef roids, freeze dried phyto, (growing our own phyto to feed atm) and some frozen coral/worm foods. Some broadcast and some target
