I am getting worried. Carib Sea was unable to keep on using aragonite media, so perhaps this will apply to TLF too. Hope not. Calcite works fine, but it is harder to melt and I don't know if it has all of the micro traces in it that natural media has.

Hmmn interesting, that possibility had not occurred to me. Is that why CaribSea stopped making the media? I wonder if coral gravel/sand will become hard to find? May have to hoard that too .....

Edit - amazon has some of the 8.8 lb. buckets for $42.

I am more worried about a "regulation" or "law" on taking even dead skeletons from the ocean. The carib sea stuff was larger corals that they crushed up a bit... and the reborn is smaller natural hunks. ...either way, harvested from/near the ocean.

I have a stockpile of almost full bag of reborn and a full one - so nearly 100lbs, so I hope that they get this figured out in the next 6-12 months.

I can’t find it anywhere. My CaRx setup is being halted by one thing. TLF reborn being out of stock everywhere

Same. I ended up ordering the little reborn media mentioned about 6 posts up. Still haven't setup the reactor though so I'm not sure how it'll work.
I’ve been looking for it for awhile now and have had zero luck. I’m half tempted to say the heck with it and sell everything and just keep dosing even though I hate doing it

Kinda in the same boat.

All I have is the reactor itself and an Apex. Still haven't ordered a regulator, co2 tank or setup my Apex. I've been told that Reborn will show up, eventually. But I feel that's just an assumption by the couple people I've heard it from. Not sure what direction I'll head just yet. Still dosing 2 part myself.

The Reborn thing is crazy... I don’t think I’ve ever seen that with any type of consumable in this hobby...

I know sometimes when companies change product packaging or anything like that, they make sure that all the product is sold before the product comes back out with new packaging... Dude at Petco told me that when all the Ocean Nutrition stuff was 75% off a few months back... He said that mark down was an order for all the stores in California.. but who knows...

I use tunze man made media. Dont measure reactor ph but effluent is 6.8 with dkh of 22.
I just dose trace elements and use the carx for the big 2.
Lfs gets 50lbs bags of coral bones from somewhere. You just have to pick out the shells lol.
I will ask who they get it from next week.

Spit balling but could a vendor use shells? Like Recycling the shells of oysters from other industries and putting under pressure so the 95% caco3 turns from the oysters primarily calcite structure to an aragonite structure that breaks down at a higher ph than calcite?
