Ive been running a 50 litre (13.5 gallon) reef tank for allmost a year now and its been a while since introducing a new living thing. Ive been wondering what i should get next.

Currently there is:
One bicolour blenny
One bangaii cardinalfish
Two algea eating hermit crabs
Purple pincusion urchin
Green star polyp
People eater zoa
Unidentified polyzoa
Various mushroom corals
Nassarius snails
sea lettuce
Dragons breath macro algae
Cladophora prolifera macro algea

Things ive been thinkign of getting was a neon clw goby, would this be ok and any other ideas?

Have you considered upgrading your tank? You could get more fish if they have more space to be comfortable. You would also have more freedom of fish-selection there. However you could go for a leather of some kind, they do eventually get really big though.

Photos of your tank? You are pushing it with stocking right now, my advice would be to get a bigger tank. You are good to add more corals!

Probably looking for supportive and sound advise. 🪸
Ok had to ask there are a lot of what they call trolls on here. Than your tank is unbelievably overstocked. I would follow the advice and get a larger Tank If you can , i know its easy to say but......

Like others said you are kind of full on fish for that size tank, but I think you can get away with either a neon goby or a clown goby, they are tiny and cute and peaceful.

I always recommend people start with at least 40g, or at least 65-75 if you can afford. The time will come when you WILL upgrade and be glad you did. I fell into that trap.
I am starting a new Tank build It was Fresh Water originally. It was also a 55. I lost 13 in Tank bred cichlids to Malawi Bloat which is caused by feeding them food with meat ie fish in it, They are the only ones that are susceptible to that. I bought food recommended by a guy at my LFS. Needless to say I research everything now , And never take advice from employees at a box store LFS Big Als . Anyway I was after a HOB Skimmer and the only supplier for Eshopps here is 3500 miles away in BC . The sales person ( See I can be politically correct ) asked me about tank size and age. He recommended I get a new tank just because of age due to the silicon seals being over 35 years old. My point there is he had nothing to gain by telling me that. I decided to listen and went to buy one that would fit on my stand.

Here is my point to you. I took my time and found a 65 that was perfect then I spotted a 70 it was 6 inches deeper from front to back. That made a huge amount of difference of what I can do 12 to 18 inches. I had to figure out if I could get it to fit. I figured it out and a bit of build and material I am way better off. So chose wisely.

awesome! Here is my tiny regret... I just set up an Eshopps Mariner 100g. All Mariner tanks just went on sale by 20% (mine was on sale 15% when I got it) and the 130 would have only cost me another 100 bucks. Oh well, I wont set up another tank for at least 5 years so 100 it is.

Geez, lots of people have the 13.5 gallon tanks and do amazing things with them. You don't have to upgrade. I had the flucal evo with a clown pair and a tail spot blenny. That was fully stocked. So a small peaceful fish is doable. Do not get another blenny or they will fight. You might repost under the specific nano forum here and get a different perspective. You have had this going for a year so you know something about what you want. Ps, I would do a high fin or a Randall's goby with a Randall's or candy cane pistol shrimp . They occupy little real estate and are very interesting to watch the symbiotic relationship. They need to be able to burro under rock at same level.

Hypothetically, yes, but it all depends on essential equipment that could be missing, and what kind of lighting it is using

I did it and another member here has a successful tank with using Canister filters. I already have one they use 2. Another option is a HOB overflow , and add a sump. The lighting depends on the Coral you want.

My rules have always been:
1. Get the biggest tank (or tanks) that can fit through the double-doors
2. Something that I cannot afford
3. Most importantly -- my action(s) will not result in a divorce!

Other than that, the rest will just work themselves out... 😎

Life is short -- enjoy & share your passion with everyone around you!
