Recently I gave a friend a frag he noticed there was red bugs on it. After further inspection of my tank, I have them. I never really looked since I dip everything I get in Bayer. It seems interceptor is back on the market, but my vet doesn't carry it and they won't approve a prescription from 1800petmeds. Luckily I had some expired Sentinel.
My system is a 120g w a 40b sump. Sentinel is the same meds as Interceptor but also has Lufeneuron. After doing a little research, it looks like people have had success using Sentinel. I removed as many hermit crabs as i could. Couldn't catch any shrimp. Removed the airline to my skimmer. Crushed up 1/2 a tablet and added it. After a few hours i didn't see any red bugs. waited 10-11hrs. Did a 30g water change. waited another 12 hours. did a 15g water change. Lost 1 of 2 cleaner shrimp. Fire shrimp and harlequin are fine. Some hermits i missed made it amd i did notice some pods still alive. i kept my GFO & carbon running. after 12 hours, i changed my carbon and filled up the reactor. so far so good. Didn't see too much literature using sentinel, so hope this helps. good luck.
