Thanks for sharing and Welcome to Reef 2 Reef!!

Looks like AI is out, over the long haul with Red Sea.

And... It's about time that the C-Skim was replaced.

Quick question , what return pump u guys using on the 250 v3? im using the sicce 4.0 and its a real tight fit. also the float switch for the ato is much too low imo , my pump will be sucking air before the water level is low enough to trigger the ato float.

I'm using the Reef Octopus VarioS-2. It's a tight fit, glad I didn't go bigger.

I have thought about installing the AutoAqua Smart ATO so I can bypass the float and raise the water level in the return pump chamber.

Rick Krejci (or anyone else),

It just so happens that I have a NIB V3 sump I do not need. It is for a 350 (don't know if it will work with the 250). Before I knew they were going to make a refugium ready version, I ordered a Synergy Reef Systems TS-26 and will be using that in my build (tank came a week ago, plumbing it currently). Message me if interested...

Thanks for the head's-up. The 250's would technically fit, but it wouldn't leave me any room in the cabinet.

Hi all, just wondering if any of you have the XL 425 V3 sump, can you please let me know the internal sump dimensions of the chamber that receives the aquarium water directly. It is not detailed on the diagrams and i have contacted red sea who don't know either. I require this info to see what model of clarisea roller filter will fit inside that area of the sump. Thanks for any help you can give me.

I have a 525 v3 on order, hopefully I'll have shipment news next week. Looking forward to doing a build thread since I didn't for my last setup.
Assuming that I will take out the ATO and setup something externally... doesn't seem you can use that container and have any other reactors or anything in there and move it around if a larger size skimmer is taking up space as well.

Does the 525XL really have 4 socks now?
Anyone do a return manifold with the new piping layout yet?

I "think" its 4, but 2 of them will be acrylic media cups that also come with the unit. Can't confirm; haven't received mine yet, apparently shipping was delayed.

I plan to assess manifold options once I have it... going to likely use the stock piping during the cycle phase and figure out my plumbing while there is basically nothing going on.

This is deafintly a game changer! A total complete RED SEA setup. Skimmer, dosing, light, circulation! Connect that with ICP test and you'll be able to have a total plug an' play solution! I already love my RSM S-500.. but this... WOW!

any idea if the cups are for GFO/Carbon and the 2 socks as filters?

cups are for, well whatever you want them to be for as far as media... I don't touch GFO, and I have a carbon media reactor, so I'll probably just end up running 4 socks
not going to migrate away from the methods that have been working perfectly fine in my existing setup

You know what would be a nice upgrade on the next version? A plumbing kit that would work for imperial fittings. Lots of people jump through hoops modding these things so they can hard plumb and a couple of unions that converted from whatever thread size they use to imperial would be awesome. I own three reefers, love the whole setup but prefer to plumb everything myself.
