It's always easy to tell someone else to spend their cash but I'm going to anyway. I would suggest not putting another dime into your old printer. Today's 3d printers are so much better than the ones from even five years ago that unless you are running a print farm with every printer you can find or you just love to tinker with hardware, you will be much happier with a printer with auto bed leveling and flow calibration which even entry level printers have today. The interfaces are much better as well. It seems small but just being able to send the file to the printer from your computer is a big convenience factor, kind of like adding a doser or an auto feeder to your tank.
