Hey all pretty new I just got done setting up my first saltwater tank! I wanted to add an ATO, so I went with the RedSea ATO. So far, I really like it. However, in my situation, I have a mixing station set up in my basement that is about 10 feet down and 25 feet across, which is great, but the stock pump that comes with the red sea. ATO just can't handle that kind of distance, so what I ended up doing was replacing the stock pump with a solenoid valve and adding a RV-style water booster pump that has a pressure switch so it will shut off when the solenoid valve is closed pretty easy and so far seems to be working as intended.

After you get everything set up you will need to message your new LPH and adjust that in the app to keep the app's readings correct.

Here's what you need (or similar):

WASSERMANN Water Pressure Booster Pump, 115V AC, with Pressure Switch

Beduan 12V 1/4" Inlet Water Solenoid Valve, Normally Closed

If you decide to get a different valve, you need these specs. 12 vdc, normally closed solenoid that has a maximum power draw of 800 mA

Push-to-Connect Tube Fittings
