Just thought I would post a little piece of mind. Reef2reef is by far my most favorite reef site. I have learned so much from a lot of people on here and the overall "atmosphere" of everyone is so much friendlier than most sites. It seems every time I post, respond, or comment in something in other sites (reefcentral) I get some snobby reply or someone beating me up on a suggestion I made. Just wanted to say with reef2reef this is not the case. So thanks to all who don't do what I just stated and after all isn't this site here for people to learn, grow, and share things about this awesome hobby?

I have noticed in the past that threads like this can easily go sideways and become a bash fest so let's please keep it nice. I'd hate to see it get closed.

I posted in a fs thread...

"Great piece for a great price!" and got a point or whatever. I was not warned and did not know that was illegal so over the course of a few weeks I had a few post like that,becuase that is just me,lol. So 1 particular mod went around and gave ma point for all of those and I was banned from the fs/trade/wtb threads for 180days or something,idk,im not going back anytime soon anyways,hahahah.

R2R FTW!!!!

Ya it gets pretty silly sometimes but I just like being able to post a suggestion or a comment on here without having to worry people are going to take it the wrong way or bash me for the way something I have done works for me. Amd KLR that crazy man, I didn't know that was illegal at all I think I have done that many tomes before I better watch myself.

I did not either. They said I was doing something with the price,like encouraging buyers by lying to them about the price or something,im honestly not sure. I was just giving my opinion on the fs thread! DANG! lol

+1 cant agree with you more. I have the same problem, not really on Reef central but on Manhattan reefs everone thinks thay know it all there, Its the worst . But i really like it here , Really great advise and really nice tanks on and people

RC stands for - REALLY...? COME...ON!
The Mod that gave me a point or whatever seemed like he just got the job and a quota to fill, he followed my post and gave me a second point just for complimenting a user asking him if he will ever frag it. R2R is on a whole 'nother level!

I did some wandering on the many different sites when I first started in this hobby and found there are some good sites out there, but also some that suck. R2R is by far, hands down the best site I've found. We definitely have something good going! Thanks!

I honestly like r2r best because everyone is really good and helpful. No one has ever said anything mean or belittled anything I have said. On a lot of other forums it seems like a competition to be right not to give the best info. I also think r2r is more knowledgable, I feel I out grew the other forums.

I couldn't agree more. I feel like I was in high school on the "other" boards. After I graduated I went to college at R2R. LOL

Reef2Reef definitely has a more laid back and family oriented atmosphere than a lot of others. I always encourage new hobbyists to check out R2R as they are getting started. Thanks again to Rev and all the great Mods that keep R2R a great place to share info, new ideas, and learn about this great hobby!

Look at the bright side of it... If I didn't get banned for them scanning my pms I would have never made it to r2r I think that goes for a lot of the members here...1smile1 it was a blessing in disguise..:xd:

Ya know I love watching this site grow and all and become the king but I also like the size it is now... Not to big and not to small... R2r is just right and every one is family... If we grow to epic portions it wouldn't be as great and intimate as it is right now IMHO... Doesn't mean we won't all get along thou...1smile1 also wanted to say it's not me, rev or the other mods that make this place it's you guys!!!! Without the great members we would be like the others...;)

I personally think everyone here is a lot more helpful than on RC. I got banned by BeerGuy without a single reson to why, so I made a new account and instantly got banned. This time he sent me a message saying "nice try, now you're Permantly banned." (now out of fun I make new accounts just to see how long it will take them to re-ban me. The list time it took them over a year until I slipped up and typed my real email address. Lol) Luckily shortly after I found R2R and have enjoyed my time here.
