Been awhile since I did an update on my tank. I did some rescaping a such and everthing is begginging to fall into place I am really happy with this tank and the corals are all doing well. Just got some new Picasso Clowns coming in hoping to breed them out like the good ol days

Great looking tank!
Thank you Shep it is slowly coming along with a few bumps along the way. In my 30 years of reef keeping, all sizes of tanks and designs, I have had the most issues with this tank. I believe it was I used very old dry rock and that may be leaching phosphates in my tank....Just a guess though but things are looking much better

That would be a major pain to have them leach, what are you doing to counter it?

Sorry for the late response Shep I was getting the Mg up and that was helping cut back on photo periods but the IM fusion seams burst so IM sent me a new tank they sent me a 40 cube instead so knock on wood so far so good I have a new thread on the build here

You had a new innovative marine fusion 30l blow the seams on you? What was the stand and how long did you have the tank for? I'm noticing my tank starting to bow front and back more and more and it's only 5 months old. Would hate to come home to a collector tank full of corals on the floor

Hi broach sorry for the long response. I had the tank for maybe 5 months before I saw the seams begin to leak. The back baffles came off and it completely peeled away from the tank. I had a very long sturdy stand and was more level than anything. I think it was just poor design or someone goofed on the assembly but I have to say IM came through and made it right. Contact them if you feel you are seeing an issue and it is not caused by you, especially a tank so young, I will say I lost about $600 in corals some really nice pieces waiting for the new tank :(
