Cleaned up the tank a bit yesterday. I think it's looking really well. Coral color isn't great but considering what this tank has put up with...

If after months then yes, that is odd.

BTW I finally looked up dictoya algae and that is actually a real pretty algae lol. I'm not sure how invasive it is but definitely more attractive than others.

It's funny. That's the one I was telling you about The dictoya has been in only in the overflow of the 55 for a couple years.
I switched to the TM bio activ cal / alk and it bloomed all over the tank.
Really oddly it bloomed in the 30g too. I've never even seen it in there.

About to change dosing so I'll see what happens.

I remember you telling me about it i just processed it differently. Dictoya = invasive algae(got it). ;Bucktooth

What are you switching your dosings to?

The two part is less cash than both I believe. .

TANK LOOKS FANTASTIC!!!!!!CONGRATULATIONS.

Dictoya is invasive, first hand experience. My u=Urchin and Fox Face took care of the problem though.
It's been interesting to observe the algae progression. Still not 100% sure what was in the TM the spurred growth. I like to observe I suppose.

Interestingly , the fox face is a natural dictoya grazer in the wild. Science isn't sure if it's a natural food source or they eat it for mild poison it it contains as a defense mechanism. Islanders eat the fox face just to enjoy the mild buzz.

I'm thinking about switching to brs 2 part also. I've been using seachem reef fusion 2 part since I started saltwater but hoping I can save a few bucks with brs.

Yes but I'm also a nut job.

What haven't you had?
You're lidless?

Striped fanged blenny. Goof ball maybe jumper , bug predator. All kinds.

Red scooter blenny. A happy fish kinda like a golden lab.

Any of the small pretty wrasses. I'm about to look at those. I've wanted one for a while . I'd like another fish for my 30 that won't get beat up by the clowns.

Maybe we can go shopping?!
