Has anyone had any issues with the reefLED 90 power supply overheating? it’s been happening with one of mine

How do you define overheating? I have 3 ReefLED 90s, and the power supplies do get pretty warm. But in 2.5 years I’ve never had a problem. I guess what I’m wondering is how you know they’re running above their normal operating temp.

It gets really hot and turns the light off I switched the power supply with one of the others and it doesn’t happen but the one that’s overheating gets crazy hot and starts smelling like burning plastic when plugged in

Yeah, I’d call that overheating too. Fortunately that’s never happened to mine, but my LFS (a Red Sea dealer) has told me on several occasions that their ReefLED power supplies haven’t lasted more than 18 months. So apparently it’s a real issue.

*knocks on wood, mine have been just warm for the past 3 years but I did upgrade to reefled 115 and those get really hot.
