Probably have it up too high I guess? But it's really out of control and is growing over the chili pepper monti, and the setosa. I guess I'm going to try and chop it back somehow, any suggestions?

Reverse superman grows like crazy. I have the same thing going on in my tank.

Looks sweet though. Nice polyp extension. With my out of control mystic sunset I tried to rip the plug and all encrusting off the rock. The plug came off but I couldn’t chisel it all off and now it’s back. A year ago I could not grow a monti to save my life. Now I have a green torch next to it and he keeps the monti in check

They are friggin ruthless though It’s gonna take out my green one next I fear I was hoping they would grow together.

Going to have to agree I'm looking at over 12" across, of rev superman in 2 different corners. Literal boulders If they ever need help repopulating the reefs with monti, I will be there to help lol

Does it detach from the LR somewhat easily? I'm hoping it comes off in pieces not little chips. I'll try removing some this weekend when I move some frags around.

That's what I was hoping for too when I saw them getting close to each other. Or at least they would push up against each other to a stalemate. But this is bad news. I have a rainbow monti that is growing at a similar pace... I would like to see them go at it though lol.

You guys should have known better, to put them on a grow out rock 5-6” wide then you could easily remove or move the whole rock with the whole montipora on it

I wish I did know better, but when I got it I had no idea it was such an invasive grower. Maybe this thread will help some others at least.

Yea just get a stingy lps, a euphilia will do the trick and is keeping one of my Montis in check.

Everything in my tank keeps my monti's at bay. Duncans sting the heck out of it, stylo stings the heck out of it, euphyllia sting the heck out of it, and yet it continues to grow. If I don't "frag" them, they would grow over the top of these corals.

The pace at which they grow is how they out compete other corals.

Plus to all above; not all bad as mine grew over two vermetid snails saving me from having to break them off, ha ha.
