There are several faucet adapters. BRS has a few. You just need to unscrew the aerator on your normal faucet and connect it.

ohhh ok ok so for installing the unit itself, it is just hooking the adapter and it runs the water from my sink faucet into the system?

Correct me if I’m wrong (cuz I can’t remember what I used right now 10 years ago when I installed mine), but isn’t there an adapter that you can hook up on the incoming cold water line? Like a “T” fitting? I know you can drill into the drain pipe to run the waste line but what I did is run the waste DOWN THE DRAIN.

When I was renting I used the faucet adapter with no issues. I kept the RODI system (RO Buddy) and all the hoses in a five gallon, kept them in the five gallon while it was running (to keep it vertical) ran the waste back into the sink. I was only running a single 15 gallon. I had three buckets, one to keep the RO system in, one to produce RODI water into, and one to mix salt. They all stacked and the first bit of RO that came out I used to give the buckets a quick dusting and rinse.
Had the RO make 4 gallons into the RODI bucket Friday night pour two gallons into the salt bucket. mix up my salt, do a water change, Pour some RO into my top off bucket (a three gallon bucket under my tank) kept the remain RO in a gallon jug for use throughout the week.

Now that I think of it, it was actually a really small amount of space I used... compared to the sq footage my RO system takes up now :grinning-face-with-sweat:

Take a look at this one; it's $70 and does 50 GPD and can hook up to hose/washer water line or even a faucet. TDS reading from 0-3.

Set up one of these and buy 2 HDX trash bins with lids, and you're all set.

Amazon product

Total setup is around $120 or so - which is not bad for a whole mixing station.

I’d ask if I could use the water line adapter since there’s no permanent modification to the line and/or the pipes
