Bought a Salifert kH test kit after hearing good things about it. I have a question about the end point color - should it be exactly pink like the instruction sheet, or is it at the very initial indication of a 'pink' color?

Thanks

Not sure if its correct, but, only solid color i count as point, minor change, indication etc - 0.5 points ;)

So, i use mostly tetra or jbl kh test, change from blue to solid color is usualy in two drops.... So, for example, if color gets solid yellow at 8 drops - 8kh.

If after 8 drops color is not solid yellow, but also not so blue as drop before - 7.5, so, another drop - 8kh (ignoring fact that i use 9 drops to get color change)....

Doesn’t really matter as long as you keep doing it the same way, each time.

Even with Hanna testers, the same thing, as long as it's performed the same way each time you'll have the best test for YOU. It really does take practice with each test kit, and you start to notice procedures you will do every time. Another reason why having the lfs test your water can be inconclusive at times.

Lavender, as soon as it goes from blue to lavender that’s the end point.
Randy has linked the thread above where tests were carried out proving the correct end point.
