salinity probe

I have a display tank and a quarantine tank - I need to measure salinity in both. How do I sterilize the icecap probe so I do not contaminate my display tank?

Not sure what the ice cap probe is made of but a weak bleach solution should sterilize it as long as it’s compatible with the materials.

If you are concerned about cross-contamination. Remove the risk of damaging the probe or contamination by taking a sample of the water from the display tank and quarantine tank into separate containers and test them that way. I'm not familiar with the icecap probe but if you just want a single reading then you can just take a cup of water out of the tank and measure that way.
