Hi , been following the testing that brs has been doing with the salt water being stored in containers and the one that you did last with the sediments on the bottom of the tank ,
The question I have for you guys is ,
If i was mixing salt water in large containers (1000l +) , when I do water changers could I run the mix through a sediment filter to remove the stuff that you guys were showing us in the tanks were the sediment had turned the water cloudy? ,
Or would it be counter productive and remove salt or even trace elements that is in the water ?
Many thanks
Craig

Hey Craig!

You absolutely can run your mixed saltwater through a sediment filter. Actually we do this with every batch that we make here in the office! The sediment filter is really not going to remove salt or trace elements from the water. To remove those, you'd likely have to run the saltwater through a full RODI unit with very large filtering capacity. :)
