I just introduced a diamond goby into my 90g cube. Such an interesting fish. I find myself observing this fish constantly. During the day, it goes around and stirs up all the sand. When the lights began to dim, the goby goes to its cave and starts to fill the mouth of its cave with sand. At first, I thought I thought it was crazy as it spend a good several hours cleaning out its cave. The goby left a very small opening and when the lights are almost completely gone dark, it darts into its cave. Then I notice that it begins to fill the opening with more sand from the inside. By the time the lights go out, the fish is completely covered up the cave.
In the morning, the cave is no longer cave. Its just sand next to a rock. When the lights starts to come on around 10am, the fish comes out and starts cleaning up the entrance to the cave again.
