My Hanna checker recently did the EXACT same thing.

My measurements were very similar to yours. Just thought I was getting ready to go through a huge growth spurt until I noticed a few burnt tips.

I checked with my salifert as well and my dkh was 11. I threw out the Hanna reagent I was using and tried a brand new bottle of reagent. The new bottle reading was 11....same as the Salifert.

At some point, the reagent went bad. And not because it was expired, I check Alk frequently so I go through a fair amount of reagent.

I should have recorded the defective reagent's lot number. I bet your lot number would have been the same as mine.

I'm going to contact Hanna to see if they've had any other reports.

Good to hear that I'm not crazy, but I got a lot of accurate tests out of this bottle. There is about 1-3 left when I started to get funky tests.

Again, same with me. I've had that checker for over a year and easily gone through a dozen or more bottles. Never had that happen before.

Big tank day:
-Went to frag swap
-went to lfs and bought a little dry rock and a fist sized fighting conch (named Walter Conchright)
-Changed out GFO
-swapped out filter sock
-moved some frags around
-chipped off and kalk pasted some spongeodes that was taking more space than I like. Glued up frags.
-Filled in come crevices in my scape with dry rock so I can mount frags in those areas.
-cleaned skimmer
-dipped and mounted new frags from the swap. Picked up a WWC Ding Dang Milli and a Joe Knows Reefs White Rose.

You know you've got aggressive fish when your powder blue is the 4th most aggressive. This is nothing compared to when I feed them clams.

Wow! That tank is going to be insane once everything grows in on that arch.
