Picked up a Sherman rose from POTO and put it in my tank a couple months ago. Moved around and picked a spot without too much light but still probably in 75-125 par or so i would guess. (all my other BTA's are living up on the rocks and are sitting directly under the lighting and are probably in 250-375 par)

It extends and inflates every day and looks pretty healthy, also hosts my 2 clowns. I have noticed it deflates probably once a day or once every other day. I never thought much about it as i have ~9-10 other bubble tips in the same tank doing well and they all inflate/deflate pretty regularly as i feed them once/twice a week so they obviously deflate to poop.

With the sherman it seems a little different.. last night when i noticed it deflated its mouth was open (didnt notice anything being excreted ) and of course was looking normal this morning with both clowns in it again.

I am concerned about the fact that the mouth was open when it was deflated. I am not sure what I can/need to do or if I should just let it do its thing as when it is fully inflated the mouth is tightly closed. It is sticky and has a good feeding response as well.

Now i have 3 thoughts for options here.
1. Do nothing
2. Try and remove from the glass where it is attached and place it on the rockwork by the other anemones
3. Try and remove it from the tank and give it a cipro treatment (I have never done this, and would absolutely need to read up on the process, try to find cipro, and buy the equipment for a QT)

Any help/suggestions welcome!

Unless you see it expelling its guts and wilting away I would leave it alone. Nems can be weird, mine had its mouth wide open for an hour yesterday because it was trying to stick a small piece of mysis in its mouth

I will try to get photos tonight of the anemone when it is normal and if it deflates ill take pictures of that as well but right now i dont plan on doing anything to it unless it is overwhelmingly suggested to.

Here are some photos from when I just got home, both of the effected anemone and other, healthy things in the tank

This anemone is still doing bad, seems to be worse than when i started this thread. I am picking up the rx tank tonight and picking up the ciporax tomorrow. I do not have a cycled biofilter unfortunately to use as part of the treatment but it will have to make due as I do not think it will pull through without intervention.
