My tank is currently fallow as I am quarantining my fish due to ich. During this time if I added copepods it would give them more time to get settled but I don’t know if I need them or they are worth it.
I have a hammer, Kenya tree coral, zoa, and a gsp i also want to get a frog spawn and maybe a monti or acropora. I have a clownfish and a hippo tang and plan to get one more clown and at most a goby (watchman) although that will be far in the future.
20.5g tank with a filter sock, sponge, bio media and activated carbon for filtration.

There’s a lot of information on different types of copepods but no guidelines on if they would be beneficial or just take up some nutrients.
Should I get copepods? Which ones? Why?

Thank you

If your tank is fallow because of Ich right now, I personally wouldn't add anything at all until the fallow period is fully up. I would think it's an extremely low chance that cultured copepods would add more Ich or any other parasites to your tank, but I don't think I'd risk it. I'd add the 'pods after the fallow period has been completed. Of course, this is just my $0.02 🤪

Good luck!

All good advice. I like adding pods, but as others said, they're inevitable hitchhikers on anything you put into your tank. But also, if you're doing a fallow period, just let the tank be until that's done.
