Should I be worried?

So, had this RBTA for about a little over 2 weeks now. It was settled in and looked like this.

However, last night I removed that ledge above it and upgraded my return pumps to the Vectra S1. The RBTA was still inflated and open after all the changes. However, this morning I found that it moved behind the rock and isn’t inflated/open. This is where it’s at.

Should I be worried? I don’t want to stress it out or my livestock in an attempt to get it to release it’s footing.

Current parameters:

Salinity: 1.025
Mag: 1350 ppm
Alk: 8.4 dkh
Cal: 460 ppm
Nitrate: 5 ppm
PO4: .02

Black box from Reefradiance is about 12 inches above the waterline.

My opinion is to let it be. They find a place where they like the flow and lighting. You basically changed both to some degree and it needs time to either adjust, or find a new spot. Give it some time and see how it reacts would be my advice.

Seems it doesn't like the additional flow, and moved to a place where it's happier.

The ledge may have been shading and helping acclimate to possibly stronger light than what it was under before.

You could leave it alone and see what it does, or place ledge back, or maybe shade screen over it and see how it reacts.

It has pretty good color so I'm sure it will eventually come out for light as it adjusts

Ok, thank you. I will give it a week to see if it comes out if not I will place the ledge back and give it another few days

Just leave it the new flow probably upset it it will move to where the light and flow is just right for it in time.

Well, as an update. My anemone stayed in the current location. It just stretches over for light.

Today I just saw that it splited overnight. Could it be from stress over the changes that caused it to split?

Yes, for BTAs, probably the most common reason for splitting is stress. They both look good. I would leave them alone for now.

When I added my RBTA to my current tank it split the first week. That was back in July. It split again the end of August. So far no more splits in the last 5 months.

I had a Sherman Rose bubble tip many years ago that got very large and never split. Somewhere I might have a photo of it.
