Sometimes the little things like a fake wall make all the difference in the world. Is it held in place by gravity or magnets?

Right! Got some corner braces with magnets on them and the false wall has magnets epoxied on the back

I want to try something similar to your masterpiece but I don't even know what corner braces or false walls are... I guess I should stick with the keep it simple stupid principle. Aka boring.

Quick question: I would like to mount my Apex in my office closet about 12 feet from my tank. Is it possible to mount it so far away? I sssume the power bar would have to be mounted near the tank.

Little update. The cabinet I bought worked, and since I am not in there often I could have kept it. However, I had a reason to buy some more tools (pocket hole kit) and build a new one!

New cabinet in place. Still a mess, but not nearly as bad. Much easier to remove the side panel and have complete access to the cabinet and get behind the tank.

They had it on sale at local store and I got it for like $130. I didnt install the drawer because that's where my power is installed. Then I got some rack mount rails from Amazon and fit the power strips perfectly. I can send the link for the rack mount rails if you need it
