I completely forgot about this thread! It just so happens my LFS has a beautiful pink tip, green streaked body elegance right now... It's been there for awhile. It's just they want so much for it and it's pretty small. I stopped by today though and it wasn't looking good. May have to see if they're willing to drop the price now. Don't get me wrong, I'm all for supporting your LFS (I've given them thousands of dollars worth of coral and also spent thousands) but I'm also not crazy rich.

So I finally got the pink tip that the store had today. It's still doing poorly. There was another one at one point, but they told me it died. They still wanted full price, but I told them I'm not paying full price for a half dead coral. They asked me what I'd pay for it and I said I wouldn't buy it. They made a deal with me that I can take it home for free now and nurse it back to health. I told them I'll take a pic in a couple of weeks of it being fat and healthy and I'll bring them the cash for it then. We have a longstanding relationship as store/customer (and supplier sometimes) and they trust that I'll be back. If all works out well, I'll have this for $140 by the end of it.

I scraped off some sponge and vermetid worms, so it's a little peeved. It's still not too far off from how I got it. Now it's in a medium flow, medium light spot in my tank. A couple of spot feedings will get it on its way. Don't mind the pump. It's a sumpless tank and I wanted to use gfo and carbon in a reactor. Tank has been running with this rock for 4+ years now. Ignore the cyano. I just did a rip clean last month and did some re-aquascaping. A lot of this wasn't exposed to light before, but the coralline is already winning the battle. Gotta love mature rock.

Just picked one up last weekend and I LOVE it. This pic doesn't do it justice - can't see but it has blue tips. Now if I can just find one with pink tips... lol.
