Skimmer bath

How long do you let you skimmer run with vinegar when giving it a good cleaning?

I just use RO water and wipe it with my hands:)

I do the for most of it but I can't get to the chamber below the bubble diffuser.

I use a Muriatic Acid solution then clean it out, but have found then it takes a day to break back in, so what I do is use some water change water, the water I have taken out of the tank, and run it with that in a tub to rebreak it in and it only takes a few hours and then reinstall in the fuge/sump and do not need to readjust much at all.
