im looking into picking a new skimmer up for my cube. 70 gallon tank plus a 40 gallon frag tank and a 20 h sump.
i have tried a few different skimmers and want a good one that i wont want to throw thru the wall after a few weeks
currently running a atb external and am very happy with it but i need something to go in sump. tired of seeing the skimmer sit next to the tank

I have a 120G dt and am running a SWC 160. Am very happy with the skimmer and it runs great. SWC skimmers are fantastic and also are very reasonable.

Hey Rich, kubi is going to be selling the bubble king he runs on his 240DD.I think it's a 250 internal or 300 internal.
im always up for a good deal but that might be overkill. maybe on the garage system for the clowns though. ugh oh now you got me thinking

is he selling his reef savy?
what going on with him
always had the sickest stuff around

his reef savvy is in delray and hes keeping that.he is selling his marineland 240 DD which is 5'x3"x2".he is moving to delray so getting rid of the tank here.he is selling off all of his cherry colonies too and some great deals.

Drop your current skimmer in the sump and call it a day.... That's exactly what I run right now a atb small external inside my sump it runs like a champ haha....:xd:

Well I wanted to tee of my return since it's a full siphon but after talking to mojo he said it was best to just use a maxijet 1200 so that's what I ended up doing... I talked to victor at atb you can remove the elbow off the front of the pump and run it in sump but mine is glued so I didn't want to chop it up... Gonna order a new volute from ehiem and run it in sump as a internal....

i just want to make my system as efficent as possible. tired of 400 electric bills.
thats about 85w an hour
the bk mini 180 i think uses 34w, also considering the itech 100 internal with the pump inside the body. trying a minimal foot print

Full cone body there is zero transition the cone extends into the cup the atb would take it any day of the week... Not by much but it will out perform it hands down.... Either one of those are great skimmers but the customer service Vic and atb supply is the best in the business.... I hear klaus isn't that easy to contact... For that alone I would take atb every time.... It doesn't matter the problem nor the time of day if I have a problem with my skimmer Vic is next day air shipping the part I need no questions asked... Can't beat that..;)
