Skimmer Recommendations for 40 breeder

I'm considering adding a skimmer to my 40 breeder frag tank. I'm also considering adding a sump/fuge. Right now, it is wearing an CPR Aquafuge.

So, I need skimmer recommendations for both HOB and In Sump.

At this point, for HOB, I'm considering a SWC Mini HOT

For an in sump skimmer, I'm considering a SWC Extreme 150 BMK

I'm running a SWC Mini S Cone, on my 200 Deep Dimension and LOVE it, but don't have the budget for something like that, on my 40 lol.

Any suggestions/advice, would be much appreciated!!

I bought a SWC BMK 150 for my 40 breeder a few months ago. I like it and would recommend it. I do not know anything about HOB skimmers.

I run a Warner Marine H2 on mine, it has done well and pulls some nasty horrible stuff out of the tank. I believe the skimmers are now sold under the aquamaxx brand.

I used a euro-reef 6-2 on mine. You can find used euro-reefs pretty cheap now and they still are quite effective.

If you have to pick HOB or in sump go with the insump, I personally think they are more effective, ( i dont trust HOB skimmers) and the SWC is good, I have heard nothing but good things about them. I personally have a octopus and it does its job quite nicely.....
