Hi guys,
I'm confused about those slime producing supplements when the fish has parasites (ich, velvet, flukes).

So these parasites burrow deep into the skin of fish.
Now when we add slim protectors, for example, Kordon's Protector, it provides an extra thick slime on the fish, does that cover the parasites already stuck on the fish, or will the slime be the barrier between skin and parasites?

Nest question: my tank is 165 ltrs, which is 4.2 gallon.
As instructed in HumbleFish's H2O2 dosing for first week, 1ml per 8 gallon. Which means, it's 5 ml per dose right?

Tank has rocks and sand.

Thank you.

Thank you.

The “slime coat” replacement products are all pretty much wishful thinking - they may offer some limited protection from skin scrapes, but they are not active disease controllers. In high doses, they can even make gill diseases worse.

Dosing peroxide can be tricky, but the rocks and sand in your tank will displace some water and lower the dose. In this case, I think you dropped a decimal point - 1 ml per 8 gallons would equate to 0.5 ml per 4 gallons. Perhaps 0.45 in your tank. To measure a small amount like that you’ll need a pipette.

What are you trying to treat with the peroxide? There may be a better choice of medication to use.
