Ended up taking some top downs of my show tank. Need some ids on corals if anyone has a clue.

Also trying to get an id on brown snot on rocks. Scrapes/ rubs off with ease. Was thinking it’s some type of algae. Doesn’t harm corals or anything! Just not so pretty to look at.

Nice tank! I would guess those are chrysophytes.

Those are definitely it, I’ve been trying to manually remove when possible or when I have a tool to do such a thing. They don’t really come back in the areas I remove, but sometimes they do depending. Anyone know if certain fish or invert eat it? Would be so much easier to plop one in.

I don't know of anything that eats it, but that doesn't mean there isn't anything.

So far I have tried dinox with no prevail. Seems like these little buggers are gonna drive me crazy. I’ve done a deep clean and since the treatment they have come back faster. I’ve been trying to do lots of water changes to flush the treatment out. What’s weird is some of my rocks don’t have any while I have a huge infestation on other parts of the tank. Is what it is. Overall since setting up the tank, they have decreased over this time. I’d expect them to be gone in a year or so, but sooner would be better!

I’ve finally had some mesmerizing shots taken. Was looking at how orange filters respond to the corals. Definitely a winner!

I’ve had some ups and downs with life.
Had issues with hardware. dang skimmer flooded my garage. Glue failure that dumped half the tank on my floor and heater failure. Lucky the tank didn’t crash. Some Weird algae growth and crazy amounts of coralline algae.
Took me a full day just scraping walls off. Went from 115ml of AFR down to 15ml a day just by removing coralline. The tanks maturing heavily, but corals really took a dive since the coralline sucked everything out of the water. Was very interesting to observe, almost like the coralline growth stunted coral health. Couldn’t figure out what was going on, until I rid the system of purple. Then bam corals showed increased color, polyp extension etc.
Picked up a fox face and sailfin to help eat ulva. All my chrysophyte issue has been resolved. Looking to get an urchin to help eat all coralline and algae.
Still dealing with funk in the frag tank, but it’s getting to where it needs to be.
