Just wanted to know if I can keep 2 regular clownfish, 6 banggai cardinals, and 1 diamond watchman goby together with a snowflake eel in a 75 gallon tank. the one at the pet store has a little dome where the snowflake lives in, so I will buy that as well if that helps.

Yes you should be fine! Snowflakes are pebble tooth eels, meaning they usually eat inverts. Every eel is capable of eating fish however, so its always a risk but Ive had my snowflake for 2 and a half years now and shes never eaten any fish. Ive had those kinds of fish with her before and she shows no interest in them at all. I keep all 4 of my eels well fed and that keeps them from hunting my fish! If this one is also a baby then thats a plus because you can train it on dead frozen food!

I was just worried that since the diamond goby and eel are on the bottom of the tank most of the time it might get eaten. Especially since the goby might go inside its cave to sift sand.

I have fish that sleep with my eels, a zebra goby always sleeps with my snowflake she doesnt bother them at all. I had a clownfish that also always slept in the same cave as her. If fed snowflakes really wont eat fish. I only have one of 4 morays that will eat fish, and he only eats cleaner wrasses. None of my eels eat any small fish. I have a dottyback in there with them and they dont touch her either.

Plus diamond gobies are bigger, snowflake wont bother. Now if you have a pistol shrimp or anything like that I could 100% see the snowflake eating that because they love shrimp, crabs, clams, and inverts. Thats their natural diet in the wild. They really dont eat fish in general unless they are starving. Which is why if you feed them and train them that you will feed them, they behave

Great idea! Mine was a trouble maker- but I miss them. They are a really great fish! Everything you have should be fine! If you did have more aggressive fish like triggers or other eels than I would skip, but, your tank is just a little too smal for most triggers. Another amazing thing about Snowflakes is they don't grow too fast, and you can even hand feed them clams if you're comfortable with it! Snowflakes have a great personality. Definately reccomend, just make sure to feed him or her well if you go through!

Oh ok, do you think I should get the little dome that it hides in at the pet store? I have rocks in my tank, but not a lot compared to everyone else.

How often should I feed them? Also, what type of food is the best.

Live rock caves are great for them. And for food, I feed LRS chunky, its got a great blend of all kinds if meaty food eels love. If its a baby, you might find it wants to eat every day or every other day. That is fine while its growing! When it gets bigger every 3-4 days is good to feed them. I let my morays tell me when they are hungry. They come out and start swimming around and looking for food, thats when I feed my 4. I also attached some pictures (sorry about the blues in some) of my rock work for you to see. You will see the eels poking out of just about everything, they just really like dense rockwork they can curl up in

Keep this in mind- Whatever can fit in another's mouth, sooner later will. I see risk although eel confines itself to bottom while fish are more suspended within the tank

I recommend a various amount between 1-4 clams a day for your eel depending on size.
Eels eat on a fast gorge diet. Only babies should be fed daily, but every other day is the best for babies. Your adult eel should not be eating everyday, this will kill them prematurely. Adults are best fed every 3-4 days. And clams should not be fed that much to eels

If it's below 12 inches, feed them every other day. In about a year or so turn that to every 3 to 4 days as littlefoxx suggested.

There's a reason why they go on a fast gorge, if you feed them everyday or too much they will store more fat than they could burn, well in short (more food and less exercise will make you fat) though for eels they get fatty liver in which fat gets stored and surrounded in the liver which in turn will harm your eel.

as for foods I suggest shrimp with whole shell especially head, mussels, squid, clams, crabs. (Get some meat out of the crab) Adding in the shells will just make more of a mess

Goodluck and have fun with the new guy!
