Soft/Flat Light LED Bar?

I’ve always been T5 only but need to add some LED bars as I’ve upgraded to a bigger tank and 6x54 over a 60x24x22 tank isn’t enough.

I have a Quanta Pro Meso Blue and while the spectrum and color blending are great, even this has a “shimmer on crack” effect for my eyes that are used to soft diffuse light.

AI blade seems better from my first hand experience but the crap diode selection and outlandish cost prevent me from going that route.

Looking at GHL Mitras 3 bars. Anyone with Mitras can chime in on how the real world feel is?

You are liking the color and POP. It sounds like the shimmer is bothering you.

Quanta are good bars and T5 are great at minimizing shimmer.

I would live with the Quanta for a while, they might grow on you.

Oh shoot and I just threw some of this away. But yeah I bet it cuts output by 50% or more.
